The two enhancements that are being highlighted are the addition of start/stop to some models and improved fuel economy on all fronts.

The Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX will be getting the start/stop this year, boosting fuel economy to 67mpg (U.S.). The Astra 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX will also be getting start/stop, putting its fuel economy up to 60mpg (U.S.) in the hatchback model.

This will mean a total of six Opel vehicles in the ecoFLEX line will have start/stop by the end of this year. These include the Agila, Astra, Corsa, Insignia, Meriva, and Zafira.

And so ...

The General Motors brand is getting serious about competing on the European market with higher-efficiency vehicles.
