Starting with the 2017 BMW 7-Series plug-in hybrid sedan, the iPerformance designation will be used on all BMW vehicles with hbyrid-electric powertrains. The designation will begin appearing this summer as 2017 models are introduced.

The BMW 7403 and 740Le iPerformance and the 740e and 740Le xDrive iPerformance will be unveiled in Geneva as hybrid luxury sedans. Utilizing a four-cylinder gasoline engine with twin turbocharging and an electric motor, they will output 326 horsepower.
