The word

The Silverado has an innovative two-mode hybrid technology that Verizon hopes will improve fleet fuel economy in city cycle maintenance driving. Verizon also collaborated with BrandFX Body and General Motors (Chevrolet) to develop an extremely light-weight fiberglass toolbox insert - the lightest on the market.
GM's two-mode hybrid operates the vehicle all-electric up to about 30mph, when the 6L V8 engine kicks in. When cruising at speed or idling to recharge batteries, the V8 can operate in 4-cylinder mode to lower emissions and raise economy.
The Silverado Hybrid is capable of 21mpg in the city and 22mpg on the highway.
And so ...
This purchase is one part of Verizon's multi-pronged approach for their comprehensive sustainability program, which began earlier this year.
