Peugeot Previews New Diesel Electric 508 RXH

In brief: The 508 RXH was previewed by Peugeot before it's official world unveiling at the Frankfurt International Motor Show this September.

The word

The diesel electric hybrid features four wheel drive courtesy of its 2.0L FAP HYbrid4 drive train, which was first seen on the 3008 HYbrid4. The 508 outputs 147kW with a maximum torque of 450Nm.

The RXH will include a 100% electric mode (ZEV) for in-town driving at short distances and its combined cycle operation is 56mpg (US).

The Peugeot 508 RXH will premier with full information and in tangible form at the 2011 Frankfurt International MOtor Show this September and will become available for sale in Europe in Spring 2012.

The HYbrid4 power train will extend to further models as well.
