Luxury Infiniti Hybrid for $55,000
Infiniti has set the price for its highly anticipated 2012 M hybrid sedan -- $54,575.
The sedan, the first hybrid in Infiniti's U.S. lineup, will go on sale on March 16th.
The car uses Nissan's first in-house hybrid drive system. The 3.5-liter V-6 engine makes 350 horsepower and has a combined fuel economy of 29 mpg.
Ben Poore, Infiniti Business Unit vice president, said the M hybrid will feature prominently in TV spots during the NCAA men's basketball tournament next month.
The sedan also will be offered in four nonhybrid versions. Those cars range in price from $48,575 to $62,475. They go on sale on March 2nd.
