The word

Honda CR-Z Hybrid Coupe

Unveiled as the 2011 model CR-Z, the coupe is a sport hybrid that resurrects what many Honda enthusiasts consider a classic sports coupe. This makes hybrid #3 in Honda's lineup so far, the others being the Civic and Insight hybrids.

Hitting showrooms later this year, the new CR-Z will be powered by a 1.5L i-VTEC engine with the Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid-electric system. It will also have a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment. A 10kW electric motor assists acceleration and acts as a generator during regenerative braking.

The car is expected to get 31mpg in the city and 37mpg on highway.

And so ...

Definitely a greatly-anticipated addition to Honda's lineup and one that rounds out Honda's current on-road offerings.
