The word
We're reading over at leftlanenews.com that GM is moving ahead with a production version of its Cadillac Converj, a range-extended vehicle built on the same platform as the Chevrolet Volt.

The Detroit News is saying that GM's Board Members learned about the plans a week ago, although GM has not confirmed it. The Converj was pitched at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show as a grand touring coupe with a 40 mile all-electric range and a small onboard gas tank to extend vehicle range 250 miles or so.

And so ….
A "Cadillac of Electric Vehicles" such as the Converj would be a gem of an addition to the GM line-up and would help, along with the Opel Ampera, to ease the burden on the Chevy Volt to make back the hundreds of millions of dollars GM has spent on the Voltec powertrain.
