Freightliner Delivers Hybrid Truck to MythBusters TV Show

Freightliner Trucks has delivered a 2010 Business Class M2 106 Hybrid dry van truck to the MythBusters TV show to be featured in upcoming episodes as the new work truck for the show's day-to-day operations.

The truck was been customized by Supreme Corporation in Moreno Valley, California and features a 20 foot van body with a 16 foot retractable awning, exterior lighting, and a hydraulic tailgate lift from Maxon Lifts. The 5kW Eaton auxiliary power generator will run accessories such as power tools and a refrigerator.

The hybrid truck will get 25-40% better mileage than its standard diesel counterpart.

The customized hybrid truck was delivered to the show's San Francisco-based headquarters this week.
