The hybrid C-MAX models will be Ford's first hybrid vehicles for the European market and will bolster the popular multi-activity cars.
Both a full hybrid-electric (HEV) and a plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV or range-extended EV) will be offered in the C-MAX models.
Over the next three years, Ford will be investing nearly $410 million into the Valencia plant to bring it up to spec for the hybrids.
Engines for the hybrid models will include EcoBoost and Duratorq engines similar to their current offerings in gasoline and diesel.
