Ford C-MAX Energi plug-in receives 100 MPGe rating
In brief: The Ford C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid has received a 108 MPGe rating in the city and 100 MPGe rating combined.

The plug-in hybrid is now officially America's most fuel-efficient hybrid with the highest miles per gallon equivalent rating issued by the Environmental Protection Agency so far. EPA estimates say it will save customers nearly $7,000 in fuel costs over 5 years.
Becoming available this fall, the C-MAX Energy will start at an MSRP of $29,995 (after federal tax credit), the car is currently the lowest-priced plug-in hybrid on the mass market. It joins its C-MAX Hybrid brother (47 MPG combined).

Ford now has three plug-in choices for 2013: the C-MAX Energi, the Focus Electric, and the Fusion Energi.
