Make/Model: DS5 Hybrid
The DS5 Hybrid will be the first car to feature a full hybridized powertrain from Citroen. It is a five-door hatchback running in the company's premium DS line, following the DS3 and DS4.
The hybrid drive train combines a 2L HDi diesel engine with electric power for a full 200bhp all told. It's four wheel drive (engine up front, electric in back) and an electronic 6-speed gearbox and stop-start.
The HYbrid4 system offers several choices to the driver in efficiency options with maximum fuel economy being had with the all-electric (27kW motor) propulsion for short distances at up to 37mph.
And so ...
Fuel efficiency numbers are not yet available for the DS5, but they will likely be in the 35mpg range (EU combined) for this luxury hatchback.
