Chrysler Says a Hybrid 300 Coming Next Year, Minivan in 2013

Chrysler has been quietly working on an in-house hybrid drive train and related technologies, some of which came courtesy of new owner Fiat. The drive train will be showcased in the company's favored luxury car, the 300, in a 2012 model and will also appear in a minivan as a 2013 model year offering.

The minivans will also get Chrysler's vaunted 9-speed transmission, which will appear first in a redesigned Dodge Caliber next year. The minivan will likely be an iteration of the long-running Town & Country model.
