Make/Model: 2012 S250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY
At an awards ceremony for the World Car Awards, the SDI S 250 was named 2012 World Green Car of the Year by Bridgestone, beating out 22 other contenders including finalists such as the Ford Focus Electric and the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid.
The new S 250 CDI is the first S-series into which Mercedes has put a 4-cylinder engine. Its efficiency is at 5.7 liters per 100 kilometers (41.2mpg).

In 2007, Mercedes-Benz also took home the World Green Car of the Year award with the E320 Bluetec.
