In brief: With the Geneva Motor Show still over a month away, automakers are already previewing their latest tech to debut at Europe's biggest automotive event.

The word

Mazda has announced that they will unveil the all-new Mazda5 (called the Premacy in Japan) at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March.
The Mazda5 features a 2.0L direct-injection gasoline engine that uses i-stop, cutting emissions by up to 15% compared to previous models of the vehicle. The older 1.8L model will still be available as well next-generation SKY-D diesel engines, though not until 2011.
And so ...
Interesting preview from Mazda, though fuel efficiency is only marginally improved with the i-stop system. Those diesel options, however, are something else.
