Suzuki's New Fuel Cell Scooter in London

In brief: Suzuki and Intelligent Energy have teamed up to produce the Suzuki Burgman Fuel Cell Scooter and unveiled it in London on Wednesday.

The word

The scooter prototype, produced as a joint venture between Suzuki and Intelligent Energy, is a fuel-cell driven scooter which first appeared in 2009 at the Tokyo Motor Show.

This new iteration has better range and economy. It's an air-cooled fuel cell power system with a range of 350km, equivalent to its gasoline-powered Burgman counterpart.

Public road tests of the Burgman FC will take place in Loughborough and then expanded into fleet testing in London and other UK cities.

Definitely a big step ahead for the adoption of fuel-cell motorcycles and scooters.
