Volkswagen AG is hoping to sell 10,000 electric vehicles of all descriptions in China by 2018. Karl-Thomas Neumann, Volkswagen Group China president, made the announcement at a conference in Shenzhen.

Volkswagen entered China thirty years ago and was the first non-Chinese automaker to enter the Chinese market. VW will join competitors locally as well as Nissan, GM, and Daimler for electric vehicle sales there. VW Tuareg Hybrid
