The word

The electric C30 is the latest version of Volvo's EV line of cars and this latest showcase also includes expected plans to produce a small run of prototypes for testing in 2011.
The new Volvo C30 EV has a range of 150km (93 miles) per charge. This is the first "complete" prototype that Volvo has produced for this line of electrics. The prototype will be debuted at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit in January.
The Volvo C30 EV is based on the C30 platform with the motor fitting under the hood and the batteries (made by EnerDel) along the propshaft tunnel and former fuel tank nest. The car will be front wheel drive with a top speed of 81mph.
And so ...
Volvo expects that, with successful field trials in 2011-12, the C30 electric could be in showrooms by 2013 or 2014.
