The word

Without much of an excuse, Volvo's announcement came as a shock as many of us believed that the C30 would at least be an order option at Volvo dealers nationally. Volvo, however, cites the growing EU requirements to cut CO2 emissions as their reason for not offering the C30 in the U.S. and Canada.
The C30 will instead first roll out in Sweden with hopes of hitting an EU benchmark of 1,000 units annually.
Along with the disappointing C30 announcement came the additional statement that Volvo will not be building gasoline-electric hybrid and will focus on diesel options instead.
And so ...
Volvo does not hold a large market share in the U.S. and could see electric sales here as being sluggish at best.
