Valeo and BAIC Unveil EV Demo Car in Beijing
The demonstrator has a complete Valeo electric power train system using a synchronous permanent magnet motor and long operating speed range. The vehicle is capable of both good acceleration and highway speeds with only one gear.
The car is the product of a collaboration between the two companies that began earlier this year and is intended to produce a production electric vehicle in 2011.
And so ...
It's questionable whether this is anything more than PR, since the companies have kept details of the car to themselves.
