Renault Unveils FRENDZY Concept Car
In brief: Renault has unveiled a new all-electric concept car, the FRENDZY, ahead of the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.

Make/Model: FRENDZY Concept
Manufacturer: Renault
The word

The FRENDZY is a concept car using the same powertrain as the all electric Kangoo Z.E. and is a dual-purpose commercial business vehicle for hauling light freight or passengers.
According to Renault, however, the chief new technology in the FRENDZY is not its electric power train or cab design, but is instead its sounds. A collaborator on the design was IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique / Musique), who created the sound that the FRENDZY emits at lower speeds to alert pedestrians.
The FRENDZY is an "office on wheels" and the sound (supposedly) goes along with that. When in "business" mode, the car emits a different sound than it does when in "passenger" mode.
And so ...
These "informative sounds" are supposed to make the FRENDZY something unique. How you define "unique" might be different.
