Peugeot Unveils the BB1 EV Prototype
In brief: A small, battery electric city car, the BB1 is a concept electric whose prototype hit the streets of London earlier this month.
Vehicle in the news
The tiny car was accompanied by 25 rickshaws as the BB1 offered free rides to people in the inner city area of London.
With a range of 75 miles per charge, a speed limited to neighborhood electric requirements (25-35mph, depending on area), and complete with solar panels and smart phone plug-in, the little car is hitting all the buzz words.
The tiny BB1 seats four and is aimed directly at the central city people it appeared for in London.
And so ...
For the most part, the car is light on details and mostly unremarkable in everything but looks. With the flood of NEVs that have already hit the market (and mostly flopped), it's doubtful that this one will fare better.
