Vehicle in the newsMake/Model: Elektra One
PC-Aero, the German aicraft design firm, completed requirements for German Ultralight Certification for the Elektra One in December and plans a first test flight this month (January).
The photo shows the aircraft undergoing structural testing with weights added to the wings, fuselage, tail, etc. in order to test load limits. Previously, a rollout of the plane (taxi using electric motor) was done.
The Elektra One first made its appearance last year at AERO 2010 in Friedrichshafen.
And so ...A very cool first step for the airplane, which has gained a lot of attention since its debut.
