PC-Aero Elektra One

PC-Aero, the German aicraft design firm, completed requirements for German Ultralight Certification for the Elektra One in December and plans a first test flight this month (January).

The photo shows the aircraft undergoing structural testing with weights added to the wings, fuselage, tail, etc. in order to test load limits. Previously, a rollout of the plane (taxi using electric motor) was done.

The Elektra One first made its appearance last year at AERO 2010 in Friedrichshafen.

And so ...

A very cool first step for the airplane, which has gained a lot of attention since its debut.
