Mitsubishi Unveils North American Spec i-MiEV at LA Show
Vehicle in the news
Make/Model: i-MiEV Manufacturer: MitsubishiThe word
The i-MiEV for North America is somewhat larger than the Japanese and European versions, but still seats four. The bumpers have been updated for better protection as well - likely because of IIHS collision testing.
Standard features that are mostly options in Europe and Japan include Active Stability Control (ASC), a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and force-controlled aibags.
The i-MiEV is expected to sell in the U.S. and Canada at about $30,000 (before incentives). It will become available in California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii in November of next year and then nationally, over time, during the year after that.
And so ...
Best Buy and Eaton will be providing home charging systems for the car in a collaboration deal set up earlier this year.Photo credits: Mitsubishi
