Mitsubishi Sets iMiEV Price for UK Sales

The highly anticipated little electric commuter from Mitsubishi will see showrooms in the UK in January (2011) and it's price has now been set: £33,699. That includes the value-added tax (17.5%) and the full government tax credit.

Mitsubishi plans to produce as many as 30,000 iMiEVs a year for at least three years of sales with 2010's total output being 9,000 as the production line gets underway.

The iMiEV has been on sale in Japan for several months and it's cost there is roughly equivalent at $51,000USD.
