Mini Investigating Smart ForTwo Rival City Car
In brief: BMW's Mini brand is investigating the idea of a city car concept similar to the Smart ForTwo as Mini goes back to its roots.
While Mini has shown several concepts in the past that are similar (such as the Spiritual City concept above) to their original Mini Cooper, a true city car of the time, the company is now getting serious about working towards fielding one.
Only this one will probably be electric and will compete directly with the Smart ForTwo.
Mini isn't releasing a lot of information this early in the game, but the idea has been floated and confirmed by the company.
And so ...
A lot of open ideas are out there from Mini and BMW's past. An electric could be configured any number of ways based on any of many concepts they've shown in the past.
