The word
The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum in Walcott, Iowa will hold a 100th birthday party for its 1911 Walker Electric Truck on July 15th with celebrations beginning the day before.
The Walker Vehicle Company was based in Chicago and manufactured electric vehicles until 1941. The truck in the museum was originally owned by Bowman Dairy and delivered milk to hospitals, restaurants and hotels. The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum purchased the truck at auction several years ago and has restored it to original condition.
And so ...
The Iowa 80 Trucking Museum is part of the Iowa 80 truck stop, the largest truck stop in the nation. The Walker is one of the museum's showcases in trucking history.
