The word

The City of Boston has become the first municipality to approve the Transit Connect for taxi use. The vans (converted for passenger use) are available now in gasoline, compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied propane gas (LPG). Soon the electric version will also be available.
Ford has also announced that its partner, Azure Dynamics of Michigan, will be providing not only the American electric drive trains for the Transit Connect Electric, but also the European version as well.
Ford expects to ship Transits from its Turkey plant to an unnamed Azure Dynamics refitter to ad the electric drive train components. The vans will then be sold to European dealerships starting in 2011.
And so ...
Big news from Ford this week.
