Ford Names First Markets Where Focus Electric Will Release

Make/Model: Focus Electric Manufacturer: FordThe word
Ford's upcoming all electric sedan, the Focus Electric, will see limited release in the U.S. late next year. It will release in the following cities first:
- Atlanta, Georgia
- Austin and Houston, Texas
- Boston, Mass
- Chicago, Ill
- Denver, Colorado
- Detroit, Mich
- Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego, California
- New York, New York
- Orlando, Florida
- Phoenix and Tucson, Arizona
- Portland, Oregon
- Raleigh Durham, N.C.
- Richmond, Virginia
- Seattle, Wash
- Washington, D.C.
These initial markets were chosen based on criteria including existing hybrid purchase trends, utility company collaborations, and the local governments' commitment to electrification.
Ford will also be developing consumer outreach in those areas, which began with their new website at FordVehicles.com/technology/electric.
The Focus Electric will release in those areas sometime in late 2011.
