Some aspects of the Chevrolet brand are popular in Asia and this new concept, the Cruze EV, promises to be big in South Korea. At least as far as demonstration fleets go.
General Motors will be demonstrating the car throughout Korea in a limited production demonstration fleet. The company has not announced any production plans for the vehicle.
The Cruze EV was developed by GM Daewoo in partnership with LG, who supplies the batteries. It gets about 100 miles per charge on its current 31kWh battery pack. It does 0-60mph in 8.2 seconds with a top speed of 102mph. Not bad. The batteries are slung in a Voltec-like configuration on the underbody.
And so ...
Fleet testing begins in late October.
