BMW Taking Applications for Mini-E Trial Drivers in Munich
In brief: One of the world's most popular electric cars that will never see production is the BMW Mini-E. BMW is now taking applications for temporary lease drivers in Munich.

As part of the joint project between The BMW Group, Siemens, and Stadtwerke Munchen (SWM), the leases for the electric Mini Coopers will include private parking and potential applicants must be residents of Munich.
The lease is €400 (US$517) and the application period runs until June 20. Vehicles will be delivered in September.

The field trials will include chargers provided by Siemens and renewable power from SWM. Applications are available at MINI.de.
