Audi e-Tron Electric Wins Silvretta E-Auto Rally Montafon

In brief: The first-annual Silvretta E-Auto Rally Montafon took place in Austria and was won by the R8 e-Tron demonstrator (painted black), driven by Lucas Luhr (one of Audi's La Mans drivers).

The E-Auto Rally took place over three days and ten stages. Ten time trials required drivers to match the target time given and the total distance of driving was about 104 miles. 24 electric vehicles took part in the race and the Audi won by barely half a second (0.5).

And so ...

Not your usual head-to-head all out power racing, this was more technical and designed to make the playing field between vehicles more even. Driving skill was just as important as the technical capabilities of the vehicle.
