Mercedes Adds New BlueTEC Model for S-Class
In brief: Mercedes-Benz is now introducing a new S 350 BlueTEC that meets EU 6 standards (set to be in place in 2014). 11% more fuel efficient.

The new car uses Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) gives it those 2014 emission levels while it's combined fuel consumption is only 6.8 liters of diesel per 100km (35mpg US).
This new V6 diesel model is 11% more economical in fuel use than its predecessor and has 10% higher power output at 258hp with 15% higher torque at 620Nm (457lb-ft).
The new S 350 BlueTEC accelerates from 0-62mph in 7.1 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.

BlueTEC uses an additive called AdBlue which must be repleneshed every 15,500 miles during regular maintenance. The car's price tag is a lofty $95,677.
