AT&T Buys 101 Chevrolet Express Cargo 2500 CNG Vans

In brief: AT&T has purchased 101 Chevrolet Express 2500 compressed natural gas (CNG) cargo vans for its customer service fleet.

The word

AT&T will put the CNG vans into service as part of its customer service fleet. The vans were purchased from General Motors and are NaturalDrive conversions that meet EPA and CARB emission certification standards.

The vans get the gasoline equivalent of 11mpg in the city and 16mpg highway with 15.8 to 23 gallon-equivalent tanks.

And so ...

AT&T will put the vans into service this year in California.
