Volvo Named Top Car Maker by Sustainable Brands

In brief: Sustainable Brands, Sweden's largest sustainability survey, shows that Volvo Cars is the top brand for sustainability.

The word

The survey included 151 companies for 2011 and is based on a consumer perspective. Of the 18 car brands included in the survey, Volvo was seen as the most sustainable by consumer surveyed.

The survey is a measure of sustainability and eco- marketing efforts as well as perceived success in achieving sustainability as a company or brand.

The Swedish market has seen over 100,000 cars of the DRIVe brand from Volvo. The DRIVe brand includes seven models that are all high efficiency and include electric drive trains. The V50 is the top-seller of the DRIVe vehicles.
