The jury of 49 veteran automotive journalists that make up the NACY panel chose a Ford product for both winning slots.
The Ford Fusion Hybrid, currently the most fuel-efficient car in its class, won the Car of the Year award for 2010. There were three car finalists, including the Volkswagen Golf TDI and the Buick LaCrosse.
The Truck of the Year award went to the Ford Transit Connect, the company's small delivery truck. The three finalists also included the Chevrolet Equinox and the Subaru Outback.
