2010 World Green Car of the Year Awards Narrowed to 5 Finalists

The World Car Awards program has announced that the 2010 World Green Car of the Year Award's field of contestants has been narrowed to five finalists. Next month, at the Geneva Motor Show, the finalists will be narrowed further to the top 3 picks.

There were 13 vehicles on the original list. After ballots were distributed, returned and tabulated from automotive journalists around the world, the final five picks are:

1. Ford Fusion hybrid
2. Honda Insight
3. Mercedes-Benz S400 hybrid
4. Toyota Prius
5. Volkswagen Bluemotion (Golf, Passat)
