The word

RNAF Apache

The RNAF test flight of the Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopter used a 50:50 fuel blend from UOP, a Honeywell company. The 50% biofuel mix combined standard jet fuel with a bio fuel made from biological feedstocks which produce a paraffinic kerosene that can be blended directly with jet fuels.

The Apache underwent no modifications for the flight, proving that the 50:50 blend is viable as a direct replacement without equipment modification.

And so ...

Honeywell and its partners are creating a full line of biofuels for military use including biodiesel, jet fuel replacements, and more.
