The latest report issued by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (the IPCC, recent co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize) stated, “Most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid-20th century is very likely (higher than 90%) due to the observed increase in anthropogenic (human) greenhouse gas concentrations.”

At FutureCars.com we define a car of the future as a vehicle designed with the environment in mind, powered by a cleaner, more efficient alternative to petroleum-based fuels.

As evidenced by the success of the Prius and other hybrids, the car-buying public shares the FutureCars vision. And as governments, manufacturers and changing habits open the doors of the future, technology will drive the production of non-polluting cars.

These pages track the emergence, application and development of new technologies (and the renewal of old ones) that fuel transportation innovation.
