McCain or Obama: Which is Better for Future Cars?

Obama...of course.

McCain or Obama: Which is Better for Future Cars?

Of course that is the first answer that comes to mind, but I actually think McCain would be better. His economic policies could help spark smaller companies (like Tesla) jumpstart competition to help revitalize the car industry.

I have to say that every

I have to say that every president since nixon have been promising an energy revolution. What is still comes down to is that oil is cheap and there is still a lot of it. Also, oil companies, no matter what anyone says, are still heavy hitters in Washington and still have a lot of support from Congress. I am against the whole "drill baby drill" campaign from McCain. That is just ridiculous. I heard a great quote on TV the other day. He was comparing this whole notion to spend money on drilling to the time when computers where starting to make headway in the 1980s. Imagine at that time when IBM and Apple were on the forefront of bring the computer to America that everyone was yelling "Typewriters Baby Typewriters". We need to be putting all of our money towards alt energy. I would say I am more optimistic that Obama would be the one to push it more than McCain. I still believe that McCain and Palin are oil people or they would surround themselves with oil people in their cabinet.

I have always be a republican

I have always be a republican but I liked McCain's track record. He has always challenged his party and I think he would do a good job in pushing us forward. I do have to agree with you Jeff on the drilling factor. It might takes us a while to develop what we need to get alt fuels in mass mode in the US. We need to do something in the interim and drilling on our own shores is the way to go.

I am voting Obama.

I am voting Obama.

It's clear to me that the

It's clear to me that the ability is here now to pull of an alt energy revolution. It's all about the air car!

Doesn't matter it looks like

Doesn't matter it looks like Obama will win.

Don't always believe the

Don't always believe the polls.

I second that. As the person

I second that. As the person who started this thread I don't believe either candidate is perfect, but I think we need to think about convincing people to change their lifestyles and also localities relationship to alternative Energy. I believe Obama is too radical will scare the people who want to move in a clean fuel direction away from our camp. Putting coal plants out of business is not the way to do this. McCain who believes in more drilling is also off base.

Moderation is always nice,

Moderation is always nice, but onward future fuels and futre cars!!

Obama won and already he is

Obama won and already he is looking into reversing Bush's executive order on drilling!
