Tribrids?

Why don't I ever see anyone talking about Tribrids? Toyota has a great model called the 1/x. It seems to be an intelligent design and very efficient.

I think many people need things simple.  The idea of three options might just scare a way too many people.  Also, people really have fallen for hybrids.

I think as time goes on, at least until a more universal propulsion method is found the tribrid will begin to grow in popularity.

I don't know. They seem a little gimicky to me.  I am not saying they don't have their place, but the consumer needs to be catered to if we are going to get them to try something different.  A car with more fuel option increases the complexity level.
