To save or not to save GM and Ford?

Well, it looks like experts are estimating that these 2 giants might only have enough cash until the end of the year. They are looking for a $25B loan from the government....well....our tax dollars. What do you all say? Should they do it? If so....what industry is next?

Let them fall. They could

Let them fall. They could have built affordable alternative energy cars starting back in the 1980s and they didn't. Saving them will just use our tax dollars to prolong the agony of oil based transportation.

I agree with Fast Car. They

I agree with Fast Car. They had their chance now give all that money to people with some sort of ethical conscience like Tesla or Zero Pollution Motors.

I think the fact that they

I think the fact that they forced them to come up with a viable business plan is a good sign.  It must include alternative fuels!

It seems like Ford might make

It seems like Ford might make it now, but GM and Chystler are toast. Unbelievable. To think that these giants are falling. We really are entering a new era.
