Off shore Drilling: Necessary evil or can we do with out it?

I think we should live without it. I mean come one is it really necessary?

I agree, but there are some convincing arguments until you look at the situation deeper. Most people don't realize that oil's price is really determined by the international market.

It was just some stupid mantra and tactis during the campaign. It will help nothing out, not at all. We all know that we can;t drill ourselves out of this mess.

People seem to keep saying that drilling is not the answer because we will only get oil in 5 to 10 years from the point of drilling. Dont get me wrong, I am not in favor of more oil but we have to look at the alternatives. We have an electric car from Tesla that is way too out of reach for people at over $100k. They are coming out with a less expensive model that will be close to $50k but that is still some time away. What I am trying to say is that we are still a ways away from an alternative production model that is affordable to the masses.
