Bail Out Blues

Just when I thought we lived in a capitalist country I wake up to find out that the auto bailout has taken a darker more sinister turn. My essential belief is that if a company makes the wrong decisions and collapses do to them, then let it. Although there are many jobs at stake with each bankruptcy, bailing out companies that make bad choices is akin to giving a child a prize for bad behavior.

Of course this not the only thing wrong with the pending auto bailout. Something even worse is upon us: gov't control of the auto business. This of course puts to rest any chance for a truly independent group of companies to revolutionize the auto industry. It seems like the gov't is more interested in keeping afloat companies that only wish to pay lip service to alternative fuels and no actually embrace them.
