Hybrid Sales Down - What a Surprise

Well, I can't say I am surprised. The financial collapse is gaining steam and so is the ability for normal folks to buy cars, especially hybrids. This accounts for the 42% drop in hybrid sales in December and 10% overall for 2008.

If this continues, one wonders what will become of all of the hybrid plans many of the auto makers have. Will they be scrapped or continues despite the current financial tsunami? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: falling hybrid sales is more proof that even beneficial cars like hybrids are not immune to the world's financial unraveling.
