Velozzi Vehicles gives a peak at their SOLO Crossover

Velozzi Vehicles, makers of the Velozzi Supercar, has finally unveiled a rendering of their long-awaited SOLO, a planned mass-production plug-in hybrid electric crossover. It's got an on-board multi fuel micro turbine battery charger that will recharge a bed of super capacitors and lithium ion batteries.

Velozzi says she'll get 100 mpg, hit zero-to-60 in 6 seconds and reach a top speed of 130 mph. Estimated sticker price in the Volt range, $30,000 to 40,000.

Velozzi has entered both vehicles in the Progressive Automotive X-Prize, and they were an early favorite of the bright folks over at Popular Mechanics.

Frankly, she looks a bit bulbous and stumpy to me, but that's neither here nor there. I'm most troubled by the use of capital letters. EV Innovations did this with the WAVE.

C'mon, what's this all about? Capital letters aren't any louder than the lower-case ones. Just a whole lot more annoying.
