Obama Picks Biofuel Proponent

Barak Obama has picked Tom Vilsack to be his agricultural nominee. Vilsack is a proponent of biofuels, which seems to indicate that Obama's environmental rhetoric is more than just talk, it is a deeply entrenched policy program.

This adds another exciting element to Obama's energy policy, one that envisions an America no longer dependent on foreign oil. One of the ways to do that is through biofuels and that is Obama's aim. By nominating Tom Vilsack to be Agricultural Secretary Obama is sending a serious message about the environment and the changes he hopes to make.
