Ford Fiesta, Great Success in European Markets.
The Ford brand is now firmly established as the No. 2 brand in Europe’s 19 main markets, following behind Volkswagen.
Customers are purchasing special features and trim packages. Approximately 50 percent of new customers have choosen the upscale Titanium and Ghia versions of the new Fiesta. Half of new Fiestas on the road have Bluetooth capability, and more than 60 percent have leather-wrapped steering wheels and 30 percent have privacy glass.
Fiestas are on sale thoughout Europe and in South Africa. They will soon go on sale in Australia, New Zealand, and China. In 2010 it will be sold in other major Asian markets and in the North American markets. Meanwhile, Ford is currently retooling its truck plant in Cuautitlan, Mexico, to build the new Fiesta for America, canada and Mexico.
