GM Delays Building Volt Plant in Flint

Well, I could have seen this coming. In admitting its current financial instability and dismal economic outlook, GM announced that it is delaying construction on the much hyped Chevy Volt plant in Flint, Michigan. This should not be surprising and if it is then you've been in a coma for the last 3 months as GM and the other two members of the Big 3 slide towards bankruptcy.

GM like the others have been hit by a double edge sword. A lack of lending in general has paralyzed new car buyers and now with the sudden drop in oil prices their new innovations are receiving less interest. For GM and the others there is no where to turn now. It really seems like it's only a matter of time.
