Smart Fortwo doing well and coming out with the Fortwo Barbus

The smart fortwo Ev has sold 20,000 cars in ten months in America. The "problem" is that the company can't produce them fast enough to keep up with demand but that's a good sign for green cars.

This Electric vehicle gets 41 mpg on the highway. It is also an ultra-low emissions car, as certified by the State of California Air Resources Board. The car is 8.8 feet long, 5.1 feet high and 5.1 feet wide. It also comes equipped with several functional and safety features. Smart is now being sold in 36 countries, and since 1998 more than 1,000,000 smart fortwos have already been sold.

The 2009 fortwo is coming out with a new version called smart fortwo Barbus (see below). We'll see more and more of these vehicles on the road.

The fortwo barbus costs $18,000 for the coupe and $21,000 for the cabriolet and gets 41 mpg. However the Barbus is only available for people who have already ordered a fortwo. Sign-up now and maybe you'll get one eventually.
