Reva is Adding An Ion Battery

You have to hand it to India: its car manufacturers no how to go Green. First, Tata signs a deal with MDI (out of Luxemberg) to produce the Air Car in India; now Reva, India's main green car producer, is set to replace its lead acid batteries with li-ion models. What's even more incredible is that they are offering an off-board charger that will deliver a 90% charge one hour. That's a huge improvement from 8-hour charge time of the lead-acid battery.

I am excited about the Reva and genuinely impressed with India's focus on alternative propulsion mechanisms. It's great to see a country get it right!
